Slide Projection at the Core

November 30th, 2010

Wilson has a slide projector stripped of all essential parts except for the optics. Slides are placed behind them in a single-file array and be projected by a light source. This causes one of the two slides to be in focus while still being illuminated in the same array. The effect only works when placing a flat reflective surface at half of the default distance to see the other image. It reminds me of Will’s other device that projected all the images at once, but physical circumstances changes the perception as to what we are viewing precisely. Will’s watermark on top of writing, Wilson’s multiple projected images.

Critique:
Miranda Lichtenstein: The usage of images in sequence and having the pendulum as the item that showcases the hidden image does nothing but speak about time.
