Notes

Micah Walter talked about this artist as an influence on his work on April 27th, 2010.

As a starting point, Arcangel uses already obsolete technology or hardware as a playground towards modification and expression.

Importance to myself

Cory Arcangel is possibly a persona – for an artist whose materials are obsolete technology and how they can be re-contextualized in a “high-Art” manner.

The fact that he is very open about his work and how he completes them is very respectable to me, especially considering that it can be reproduced by others rather easily.
