Catastrophic
September 22nd, 2009
Critique:
Work beings as a “catastrophic” event and then an attempt to understand it.
Focus on rituals and the contrast of technology. This installation is suppose to be an imposed juxtaposition of both.
Need for communication, but using symbols is important
Creating an environment where it is comfortable, but not allowing it to represent anything.
pixels = digital particles.
Breakdown of the recording
A projection that isn’t saying anything.
Post-apocalyptic? & Ritualistic?
“You can’t wikipedia spiritualism and be content with what you find. Or can you?”
It almost seems like she is worshipping technology.
She can’t decide what her work actually means, needs to focus on what she wants.
