Structures and Topographic Form with Images

November 29th, 2010

To split the image away from the form and work with it in parallel. Kendall Buster’s early work as a muse and influence, interactions that the audience is able to have with minimal colors. Interest in the usage of “membrane” structure. He’s taking a look back at cinema and the background context of homosexuality. He’s also working in different ways in 3D. Google Sketch-up and Bonsai. Possible usage of soduim chloride and water crystal strcutures, this could be the physical landscape within the work. The images would now be in focus with a less cohesive environment. Printed one 3D model at the cost of $130-$170 and may use a miniture projector to display images around the sculpture.

Critique :
Craig Kalpakjian: I can’t help but see the image taking out the importance of the form. You should take a look into Vincent Fecteau. Also the forms of your work remind me of Andrew Roth. One more person that comes to mind is Casey Kaplan.
